I wrote this post last Sunday, but my internet connection went down for a few days. It seems to be back on, but it may not last. So anyway, below is the original post, and my first pictures from Sydney :)!
Now it was time to see Sydney from the other side of the bay. I don’t know what the right words would be to describe what I’ve experienced today. I’ve simply been blown away. After spending three years in ugly Brest,FR, having a first tour of Sydney, knowing I am actually going to live there for six months, well, I literally had to sit on the Opera House stairs to breathe.
And I didn’t just have a look at the Opera House, I walked down Circular Quay, I went to see where I was going to work, walked in the CBD, had a burger in Pitts Street, went to the Queen Victoria Building, walked across the Royal Botanic Gardens, had a look at where Thales was - my best friend actually works there, how cool is that ? - then walked in Potts Point, dreaming of finding an apartment there, and then back to the city, Hyde Park, St Marys Cathedral - 72 days till the pope my best friend arrives - and back to Circular Quay to get a bus down to Maroubra, where I’m currently staying.Yes, my legs do hurt, but I don’t care, it sure had been a while since I’d felt so good…
